– Knowledge about peaceful civil resistance in every corner of the country –
Knowledge of peaceful civil resistance is perhaps the most important knowledge of the 21st century. In a world where government institutions continue to fail to contain climate catastrophe and where democracies – from the US to Germany – are increasingly threatened by fascist forces, the importance of peaceful civil resistance campaigns can hardly be overestimated. They could make the difference between life and death for billions of people. But the strategic knowledge behind it is hardly known.
That's why this year's Last Generation strategy camp begins today (Mon. February 19.02.2024, 120). Around XNUMX participants come together for six days filled with seminar lectures, working meetings and workshops in which the strategic knowledge behind the Last Generation is conveyed. The aim is to enable as many people as possible to plan and carry out campaigns of peaceful civil resistance themselves.
The program includes lectures and workshops on the history of civil resistance (Gandhi, the civil rights movement in the USA, GDR), the principles of the last generation and the concrete ideas for 2024.
In order to make this knowledge accessible to more people than the 120 participants, parts of the program will be broadcast via video conference. Additional recordings are made for some lectures, which will be published following the strategy camp.
