Nuremberg, August 18.08.2023, 09, 30:50 a.m. - This morning, supporters of the last generation continue their protest against the federal government's breach of the constitution in Bavaria. During yesterday's protests there were over XNUMX arrests of Last Generation supporters. However, in the early evening hours, all of them were released. Many of them are once again drawing attention to the failure of the federal government in an unignorable manner.

As in the past few days, the courageous people in Bavaria will continue to hold protests after they have been released from a police measure.

Svenja Schraut (19), which supports the protests in Bavaria, justifies its actions as follows: “In a world that is three to four degrees warmer, democracy and the rule of law are at massive risk; society as a whole must recognize this and act accordingly. And the course for this can be set in a social council that brings together a wide variety of citizens."

With the writing of the Basic Law came the promise that things would be better for future generations. But the pursuit of prosperity and growth at any cost led us to the situation we find ourselves in now. The narrative of infinite growth has not only failed, no, it is leading us straight to climate hell.

"75 years ago, the foundation stone for our Basic Law was laid here, in beautiful Bavaria - the foundation stone of our society. But the beauty of Bavaria, the continued existence of our society and the constitution are existentially threatened by the effects of the climate catastrophe. It is the federal government's job to prevent this.“explains the biologist Michael Winter (60) which today sits on the B14 in front of the Faber-Castell Castle.
