Kai Arne Springorum stands today in front of the Ministry of Transport with a jackhammer and symbolically breaks the road to a destroyed future.
He explains: "While we talk about shower times and who drives how much, fossil fuel rich people fly over our heads in private jets, sabotage every debate about the energy transition and thus destroy our democracy. They have already pushed us so far down the path into the flaming abyss that the smoke stings our noses. It is high time to shatter this deadly path once and for all.”

The influence of the fossil fuel lobby extends to all decision-making levels. At the World Climate Conference last year There were more lobbyists for oil, gas and coal than the ten countries most affected by climate change combined. The result: an exit from oil and gas was not even mentioned in the final declaration.
Fossil fuel companies have also been influencing political decisions in Germany for decades, ignore democratic majorities and knowingly endanger billions of lives for quick profit.
