They can hardly believe the failure of our government and are therefore addressing them directly on the spot. They spoke to the politicians in the government district, while some stuck themselves to the street at the entrance to the underground car park.
Lisa Winkelmann wants to know directly from them: “Why don't you protect our lives and introduce the simplest safety measures, such as a speed limit of 100 km/h on motorways? You can't negotiate with tipping points. We don't want to hear excuses or lip service. The majority have already recognized the threat. When will the government start pulling the emergency brake? "

Two thirds think environmental and climate protection is important, but politicians ignore this clear majority. They are not enforcing any measures that will save us the path to climate catastrophe. Instead, the answer is massive incarceration and absurd bans in an attempt to criminalize the protection of life and society.
António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, finds direct words for the failure of politicians: “The really dangerous radicals are the countries that are increasing fossil fuel production. Investing in new fossil fuel infrastructure is moral and economic madness.”
The path that politicians are currently taking will be the last path for civilization. We are already seeing that the consequences of the climate catastrophe are affecting us all. Summer droughts destroy crops, making food even more expensive and scarce. Pumps will not be able to pump water if everything dries up and people die of thirst.
Jacob Beyer, spokesman for the Last Generation, cannot understand why people's lives are not being protected. “Instead of finally introducing measures that protect all of our lives, politicians are relying on the expansion of further fossil fuels. With the liquid gas terminals in Wilhelmshaven, Germany will not achieve its climate goals. Instead, we are racing at full speed through the stop sign that scientists have been pointing out for decades. "

That's why we're asking politicians today why initial security measures are not being introduced and all of our lives are knowingly being put in danger.
If our resistance bothers them so much that they try to criminalize it, why don't you put an end to it? To do this, they just have to do the most important thing of all: start protecting all of our lives.
