Berlin, June 02.11.2022, 12, 53:XNUMX a.m – There have just been traffic disruptions at the United Nations Square in downtown Berlin caused by supporters of the last generation. There are currently 13 scientists in prison in Bavaria because they could no longer stand by and watch as the government led German society straight into climate collapse. Against this background, the people of the last generation renew their call to the traffic light government to no longer close its eyes to reality. Security measures are necessary immediately. A speed limit and a €9 ticket would be socially just options that can be implemented immediately.

"The government can imprison scientists who inconveniently hold up a mirror to government failure. It will not be able to eliminate the destruction that the climate catastrophe will bring. Only real action can do that and that’s what citizens will demand. As time is of the essence, we are using the most effective means we have at our disposal as civil society to force the government to act. This is civil resistance."
