Neubrandenburg, October 12.10.2022, 13, 00:XNUMX p.m – Raúl Semmler from Last Generation activated the emergency stop at several locations on the PCK pipeline in April this year, thus interrupting the flow of oil. As a motive he states that “To want to end the destruction of our livelihoods through fossil fuels.” On Tuesday, October 11.10th, the Neubrandenburg regional court dealt with the case.
Judge Steffen Seligmüller confirmed an injunction against the actor and screenwriter Raúl Semmler. In the spring, the “Last Generation” occupied pumping stations on the oil pipeline from Rostock to Schwedt in Brandenburg several times and published the pictures. The PCK sued against this. The PCK did not respond to an offer of cooperation.
The PCK argued that Semmler's pictures would damage its image. That's why the management demanded a fine of up to €250.000. Semmler appeared willing to cooperate and suggested an agreement: If PCK should stop enriching itself by destroying livelihoods and become an environmentally friendly company by 2024, he, as a studied screenwriter and actor, would help improve its image again.

Managing director of PCK, Ralf Schairer, turned down this offer. It’s clear to him, “Transformation takes time“. How much time? Schairer made that clear in June of this year. PCK will continue to process crude oil for decades to come.
This attitude is likely to be met with horror in the scientific community. “What we do in the next 3-4 years will determine the future of humanity! The federal government only recently took over the PCK in trust. The federal government's actions are bound by the Basic Law - including the preservation of the basis of life and the protection of life and property - all legal interests that are threatened by the PCK's business model. It is now responsible for changing the company's course to protect livelihoods and create sustainable jobs for employees.
Raúl Semmler: ”We still have 2-3 years! Companies will only go as far as they are forced to go. […] All citizens have a moral duty to resist a government that is complicit in the destruction of our livelihoods."
