Hundreds of tons of oil stopped - RRB pipeline repeatedly shut down for several hours

RRB Pipeline, May 05.05.2022, 20 XNUMX p.m - The RRB pipeline between Rostock and Leuna or Böhlen can transport 285 t of oil per hour on average. Over a period of six and a half hours today, courageous citizens repeatedly brought the flow of oil to a standstill, thereby preventing the transport of up to 1800 tons of crude oil. The six people activated the pipeline's shut-off systems designed for emergencies, such as the climate emergency.

One of them was the 30-year-old psychologist Lars Werner from Göttingen: “I am convinced that the majority of this society, like me, wants a better future. That's why I stand in the way of fossil destruction. Mr. Habeck now has to make a declaration of his life. No more new oil, coal or gas. Full speed ahead with wind and solar."
