Update: Eviction of 12-year-old - single cell for the others

Berlin 14.02.2022 – During today’s disruptive actions by “Essen Retten – Leben Saving” a 12-year-old was evicted. Lilli joined the actions because “our planet is being destroyed for money while our government just watches and waits".

It's dramatic that in this day and age Only 5% of children and young people are not concerned about the climate emergency are. The concerns are justified. Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, former chief advisor to the federal government and leading climate scientist, gets to the heart of the matter: “We push our children into a global school bus that has a 98% fatal accident rate."

No wonder that enlightened children and young people are afraid of this future, which will bring famines on an unprecedented scale, droughts, floods and slaughter for food and water.

"How dare Olaf Scholz allow this to happen, look the other way and destroy our future? Why do I have to explain his job to him when I'm twelve?“, 12-year-old Lilli, who was at the action with her mother today, is justifiably indignant.

Lilli was allowed to leave after leaving the street. The other committed people were arrested and are now at the Tempelhofer Damm police station.

"I've never been to the police. I also don't understand why it should be so bad that we are committed to ensuring that no one goes hungry.says Lilli.

Olaf Scholz now has the responsibility to act. If 12-year-olds have a better understanding of the climate facts and know what future the world is heading towards, it is a legitimate question as to why the Chancellor doesn't know that.

In order to avert total climate collapse, people from “Essen Save – Live Save” campaigned to strengthen democracy. To ensure nutrition, the measures should be implemented as quickly as possible Citizens' Assembly 2021 on agriculture. 80% of the population supports these measures, which mean a comprehensive agricultural turnaround and a food-saving law.

The decision-makers for the Essen Saving Act – Renate Künast (Greens), Susanne Mittag (SPD) and Dr. Gero Hocker (FDP) – are on Mittwoch at 14 pm invited to receive a public letter in front of the Reichstag. If they don't even show up, the food rescuers will announce further steps.
